We teach Arabic through comprehensible input: messages you can understand before you can explain the grammar.
What is comprehensible input?
Comprehensible input is language slightly above your current level that still makes sense through context, visuals, and gestures. We acquire language when we understand messages, and in no other way.
Studying is not acquiring
Studying builds knowledge about the language. Acquisition builds the language itself, and only one of them lets you understand people.
As you level up, the visuals fade and the words take over
At A1 the images, gestures, and slow speech carry the meaning. From A2 through C1 the visual support steps back and the language steps forward, always staying just within reach.
Why we delay speaking and reading
Speaking before the sounds of Arabic are acquired locks in the patterns of your native language, and reading before those sounds are acquired does the same to your pronunciation. Crosstalk gives you real conversation without forcing output.
How long does it take? We show our math
Nobody can promise you a fluency date. We publish the hour bands we use, where every estimate comes from, and what we still do not know.
